Our Barrel Ceiling Fixing is a Architectural ceiling attachment, manufactured from bright nickel-plated brass – designed to provide a sleek, aesthetic fastening to the soffit whilst offering low visual impact. The attachment can be fitted directly to a ceiling or mounted to a fixture and used in conjunction with the Zip-Clip range of architectural supports to build a complete wire rope suspension system. APPLICATIONS SUITABLE AREAS OF USE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Lighting and audio Signage and display, screens and partitions Acoustic ceilings, islands, or baffles FEATURES Two-part fitting consisting of: Base plate with 4.4 mm through-hole (not threaded). Internally threaded dome cover to encapsulate the wire support. Low visual impact Base plate can be fixed to the ceiling using countersunk fixing – wood screw, concrete screw, or plug and screw Base plate and cover marry together to form one complete fitting with the same diameter. INSTALLATION Disassemble the base plate by turning it anti-clockwise. Fix barrel base plate to the ceiling using desired fixing – concrete screw, plug, and screw, or wood screw. Ensure the wire rope is correctly set inside the threaded insert. Screw the insert into the base plate by turning clockwise. Ensure the insert is secured, and finger-tighten using the knurled edge. Base plate and insert marry together to form one complete fitting with the same diameter.
