Jointly developed in collaboration with the Institute of Damage Assessment Research in Hanover, the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz and Deutsche Telekom and conforming to all safety and production specifications of DIN EN 12613, this tape – thanks to its great tensile strength –tears lengthwise along its perforation only when the excavator bucket exerts extreme force on it. Even when the excavator is working at high speeds, fragments of the torn tape are brought to the surface, giving the excavator driver a perfectly visible warning that utility lines are buried in the ground there.
